Met de Griekse plannen in het achterhoofd stonden hedgefondsen afgelopen week maar één ding te doen: de illiquide Griekse obligatiemarkt opgaan om te profiteren van de besluiteloosheid en stupiditeit die zich dagelijks afspeelt in zowel Athene als Brussel. Sinds vorige week, toen bekend werd gemaakt dat de Griekse overheid een deel van zijn schulden terug zou gaan kopen, werd er geanticipeerd op deze stap. Persbureau Reuters liet weten dat de Griekse overheid ongeveer 10 miljard euro zal lenen van het EFSF om ongeveer €30 miljard op te kopen, waarmee de prijs tussen de 33 en 35 cent per uitstaande euro uitkomt. Het originele plan voorzag hiermee in een schuldreductie van 20 miljard euro.
Too little, too late
Omdat politici altijd achter de markten aanlopen is ook dit plan gedoemd te mislukken. Inmiddels noteert een Griekse staatsobligatie (GGB) alweer boven de 40 cent per uitstaande euro en steeg de koers maandag 3 december met maar liefst 12%. Hoe langer men wacht met deze schuld op te kopen, hoe kleiner de winst zal zijn die gemaakt wordt met het terugkopen van deze obligaties. Onderstaande grafiek van ZeroHedge toont aan hoe disfunctioneel markten inmiddels zijn geworden. Markten reageren slechts op politici en niets anders.
Hedge Funds spelen mee
De vraag is dan ook hoe lang het duurt voordat obligatieprijzen weer gaan zakken als straks blijkt dat ook deze besparing niet gerealiseerd zal worden, waardoor de Griekse doelen niet meer haalbaar zijn. Ondertussen zijn de enige die profiteren de hedge funds die bereid zijn om op dit korte en gevaarlijke spel mee te spelen.
Flink verlies voor de banken
Griekse banken zien inmiddels flinke verliezen ontstaan op hun obligatieposities, die op ‘par’ gewaardeerd werden, omdat zij gedwongen waren hun obligaties te verkopen. Mocht straks daadwerkelijk een Griekse bond buyback niet doorgaan vanwege te hoge prijzen dan is het enige wat overblijft een uitgekleed Grieks banksysteem plus een reddingspakket wat zich ontdaan ziet van één van zijn belangrijkste steunpilaren. Talking about unintended consequences.
Gelukkig maar dat er een groei van 4% voor de Griekse economie is geprognotiseerd vanaf 2014. Per jaar. **proest**. Nogmaals: Spanje, kom er maar in hoor. En maak in 1 klap aub een einde aan deze leugens.
Ik zal u nog een scenario schetsen, beste biflaat: medio 2019 zijn we 3 kabinetten verder en zal de minister van financien van Nederland schoorvoetend melden dat er waarschijnlijk een afschrijving zal moeten worden gedaan op de Franse schuld van zo’n 40%. Waardoor de garantie (mwaha) van Nederland aan het ESM oploopt naar € 385 miljard en het ESM helaas is afgewaardeerd naar JUNK.
Of gaan we dat niet halen?
Politiek-korrekte argumenten ten opzichte van houtskool:
– ach we hadden het te goed en dat we nu een stapje terug doen is niet erg
– ach we hebben nog altijd 3 maaltijden op een dag
– de hongerige kindertjes die hebben pas honger
– onze economie gaat echt niet zoals in griekenland worden want die grieken kunnen niet eens belasting innen
– we toch nog steeds een AAA-rating?
– we hebben pieken en dalen. We zitten nu even in een dalletje. Het trekt straks zo weer aan.

Yet this is the same sentiment that got Lincoln, Hitler and Kennedy — and millions of others — killed by bankers who control governments and their politicians by blackmail who then proceed to ravage and enslave their helpless populations.
Lincoln referred to the greenbacks he created as “the greatest blessing the people ever had.”
In his book “Which Way Western Man” (1978) William Gayley Simpson wrote: ” . . . when one considers the raging and relentless determination and the organized concentration of purpose with which International Jewry labored night and day for the destruction not only of Hitler but of Germany itself, it would seem patent that this was only a pretext.

“Must it not seem virtually certain, especially in view of the fact that the driving minds behind the campaign knew from the beginning that the Jews of Germany were not being treated with any such inhumanity as was being alleged, that their primary objective was the destruction of Germany’s threat to their money system, the supreme source of their power, and the removal of the German bastion against their advance to world domination?”
And then, a little more than two decades later, came that speech that got JFK killed — listen to it again if you dare or if you care. Listen to it carefully and ascertain how his directions have not been followed.
Today his words are largely ignored by the people he tried to warn, as they cringe and sicken in a disaster all three men — great leaders all — tried to prevent at the cost of their lives, and the lives of their nations.
This speech is why I became a journalist. It’s appalling to see today how few came with me.

Griekse mensen zien niks van de terugbetaling of redding van de schulden..
De banken die Griekenland willens en wetens tegen vette uitleenbonussen geld leenden aan Griekenland willen nu hun geld terug.
Heeft eigenlijk niks te maken met de gewone Griekse man , het is allemaal een mengsel van politiek en banken.
En daarom heeft het alles te maken met het topic.

@33 KTM ik hoop wel dat je vindt dat dat verplicht tewerkstellen binnen grenzen van redelijkheid, fatsoen er respect voor de werklozen moet blijven.
Anders houdt je nu een pleidooi voor een door de overheid georganiseerde slavernij.
Lijkt me typisch iets waar op dit forum vaak stelling tegen genomen wordt.
Stel iemand heeft 35 jaar gewerkt en zich ingezet voor de maatschappij en wordt weg gereorganiseerd ( versoepeling ontslagrecht ). Dan lijkt het me dat zo iemand met respect behandeld wordt en niet alles hoeft te accepteren wat één of ander KUT AMBTENAARTJE voor hem in petto heeft.
