Hier volgt zo’n portret :

“I am 23 years old

I am a female (not that it should make a difference, but apparently in our society it does…)

From the day I moved out of my parent’s house, I’ve supported myself 100%, not because they don’t love me but because they can’t support my dreams financially.

For over two years I schlepped 2-for-1’s and shots to pay for my rent, a used car, and tuition at a community college.

Now I’m attending the University of MN and I depleted all of my savings just so I wouldn’t have to take out a loan this semester. I’m trying to get by debt free and it seems near impossible.

I’m majoring in journalism, a profession I consider a civic duty. I know my salary will never break 5 figures and I’m OK with that because I’ve learned to live within my means.

I am the 99%.

I am the 1 percent, I stand with the 99 percent !”  Hier volgt zo’n statement :

“I was born in Venezuela where inequality and government corruption are the norm. Both my parents worked very hard (still do) and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to move to another country when I was 17y.o. to go to Medical School.
I’ve seen a lot of things during my training. But some of the worst and most heartbreaking have been situations where families are denied medical treatment because ’they’re too expensive’ or ‘insurance won’t cover it’. In the meantime, insurance companies make profit.
Healthcare should not be a choice, but a right.
I am the 1%. I stand with the 99%.”

Alle info vindt u op http://www.resourcegeneration.org/about-us/misson-vision-values.  En dit is hun algemene visie :

“Values:

  • We need everyone. It takes everyone’s perspective, experiences, resources and creativity to make change.
  • In everything we do, we are committed to sharing wealth, access and power.
  • We believe in the power of organizing. We can do more together than we can ever do alone.
  • It’s our turn! Young people have been and will always be on the forefront of social change.
  • In the tradition of George Pillsbury, Harry Belafonte, and Tracy Hewat, we as young people with wealth stand with communities and movements working for social change”.
